Healthy adults can develop skin tags which are really nothing to worry about. Most of the time they are totally harmless accept for if they are on your face it can look rather disfiguring - then you need to consider having skin tag removal done.
Skin tags are not caused from illness either.A skin tags is only really a piece of hanging skin which is flesh coloured or maybe a brownish colour and can vary in size. Skin tags are really only skin growths and skin tag removal is a common practice. It is mostly a cosmetic issue, but it depends where you have them growing on your body. Having them in highly visible areas can be ugly and embarrassing.
They are very tiny when they first appear and take some time before they grow and can become the size of a grape. This is the time you need to have them removed for appearance sake. When they have been removed they will not reappear there again. These skin tags can just appear at any time and the most common places you will see one is on the neck, around the eye area, under the armpits, in the folds of your groin and also under women's breasts and men usually get them on their upper chest area.
Malignancy and cancer are not even a consideration as these skin tags pose absolutely no threat to any person even when you have had them removed. Should you rub the area continuously or rip it with a sharp object it may become very red and even become painful but it still won't turn cancerous. Visit your doctor and just have a skin tag removal done.
This procedure is very quick and very effective in that your doctor will either freeze it off or burn it and maybe be will use a local anaesthesia and cut the skin tags off. Or if you feel that an alternative such as an essential oil can remove it then use that method.
Liquid nitrogen which is basically Cryotherapy can be used or even a local anaesthetic to deaden the area and snip the skin tag off. A tag around the eye area is more intricate and it is highly suggested you see an ophthalmologist that will do the skin tag removal safely. Surgeon nowadays use laser surgery which is quick method and painless.
In today's times you have several methods which you can use for skin tag removal which are quick, safe and effective. Should you not want to see a professional to have the skin tag removal done then you can visit your local health shop and they will advise you on what herbal remedies you can use that are safe and effective.
Tea tree oil is used effectively in skin tag removal but should be continuously applied for at least four to five times a day to the area which will make the skin tag fall off after it has dried, and another method which they says works is taking a creamy paste made up of Baking powder and Caster oil and applying this mixture to the skin tags helps them fall off quickly. There are so many different formulas and mixtures sold at health shops which can be used at home safely for skin tag removal.
