Just How Can We Take Advantage Of Network Marketing Today?

Is Network Marketing really any different today than it was 10 years ago? Many people talk of the 'old school' and 'out dated' methods of prospecting.

The fact is that 10 years ago such methods were the only ways available to prospect; we didn't have the internet at our disposal. By 'old school' I'm talking about the traditional methods taught by MLM companies...prospecting friends & family, warm list, 3 foot rule, home meetings, walking around shopping malls etc...

The rise of the internet has cast a dim light on the methods that were once used to build MLM downlines, it's not that they don't work, it's just that we can do things far more effectively these days. If you've arrived at this article then I'd bet my bottom dollar that you already have some inkling of what the internet can do for your business!

Some may think that they are an online marketer because their MLM company has given them their own product and opportunity website to market. The trouble with these is they are the same as everyone else's, what makes YOUR site different? What's the reason that someone should join through your website than any one else's? There is no unique branding and more importantly (which so many people miss) it does not brand YOU in any way.

Traditional MLM does work for some, but not many, here's why I think that is (in brief)....

Prospecting friends & family - first off would you want them in your business? (I wouldn't want mine in my business!) Are they people with an unstoppable drive for success, do they have strong business acumen? Are you prepared to answer their every beck and call (coz they will expect you too!)

Drawing up your list of 'warm' prospects - usually you are told to draw up a list of one hundred people in your circle of influence and beyond, but not everyone knows 100 people suprisingly Are there one hundred people you know that will REALLY be interested in your business (be honest)?

The three foot rule - do you really want to be that sad loser who is always trying to pitch a deal with everyone? You could well end up with people actually trying to avoid you, so they don't get pitched again

Home opportunity meetings - are you a skilled presenter? Do you have a regular stream of new leads so you can populate these home meetings on a regular basis?

Talking to people in shopping malls - that's just SAD! Period.

Thats some brief reasons why you might be failing in your business by using only the above mentioned traditional methods. We must remember though that for some people they definitely work, many a downline has been built using these strategies, take Mark Yarnell for example, he never used the internet to earn his 30+ million!

If like most you are having a tough time building your MLM business there is another way.

Can you envisage having a following of qualified prospects that respect and hang on your every word, people that come to you with credit card in hand ready to join your business.

Add to that earning an income from prospects that don't join your business.

What I have just described to you is the power of attraction marketing on the internet. There really is no need to struggle in your network marketing business any more.
