Watching TV can certainly make a person fat No, not just because it is a sedentary activity, but because the misleading information that most commercials present is confusing.
I can see why people are totally confused about healthy eating. Of course then, the reasons why obesity, heart disease and Type 2 diabetes effect a larger percentage of people here and in other nations, is no surpreise either.
After I finished laughing at the ludicrous nature of the information I was seeing, I turned the TV off, (my jaw was sore from all the laughing) and set myself to the task of writing this article to clear up a few misconceptions.
According to their advertising, the best thing Cheerios is supposed to do is to help you reduce cholesterol.
-
The fact of the matter is, that eating processed grain, particularly in the form of cereal can result in higher bad cholesteral readings. Cholesterol studies have demonstrated, to this point, that soluable fiber can help your system eliminate bad cholesterol from itself. Cheerios has 1 gram of soluble fiber per serving. Isn't that special... Not so Special. There are typically 2 grams of soluable fiber in an apple, 3 grams in a normal serving of broccoli or carrots, and mor than 4 grams in kidney beans. (You can't do better with Cheerios)

Milk does a Body Bad. Ok, that is not entirely true. Conventional milk does a body bad. It is my hardened opinion that Oranic Milk is the minimum acceptable, and that raw milk is better still. If you haven't read the article on milk, I suggest reading it today.

Artificial sweeteners for my children? Not in this decade! In particular, Splenda hasn't been around long enough to demonstrate that it is safe or not. It would be my suggestion, that you remove yourself and your family from the experimental testing ground for splenda. My advice? stay with the natural sweeteners, whole fruits, stevia and agave syrup, and avoid the artificial compounds like Splenda, Sweet $ Low and Equal.
I can give you plenty more scenarios, based on other commercials. Watching enough TV (or even purchasing cable) I would be able to point out 10, 20, 100 more commercials providing misleading informatoin, just to make sales.
Now switch off the boob tube, download and read the Real Truth about Healthy Eating, so you can start on your own program for fat loss and healthy living.
