Even though what causes Type II Diabetes is still going on in debates, and mostly there is a strong feeling that heredity, or genetics, plays a important role in its development. However, the lifestyle that one participates in is also a widely accepted theory. Most often, the consensus tends to be that, although one can be genetically predisposed to Diabetes 2, it is how one chooses to life his/her life that typically ends up determining if the disease will fully develop. If this is the case, as many believe to be, it means that everyone has a degree of control over whether or not they develop this condition.
The risk factors associated with Diabetes 2 that are not under our control are things such as our family's medical history, our ethnicity, our age, or if we had a low birth weight. These factors can set a foundation for the development of the disease later in life. So, it is of even greater importance for those with these characteristics to pay attention to their health and make a serious effort to have a good diet, exercise, and stress management routine. As many researchers believe that the way in which we choose to live is what causes diabetes, it makes sense to take the necessary precautions in order to stay healthy.
It is an undisputed fact that one of the major characteristics that are thought to be what causes Type ii Diabetes is being overweight. The reason that this is thought to be one of the main causes is because of the lifestyle choices that frequently leads to this excess weight. Did you know that things include consuming a high fat new diet, consuming large amounts of alcohol, and having a fairly inactive lifestyle. Understand that unhealthy choice options, such as these, should be avoided, but especially those with a family predisposition to Type II Diabetes.
Although the exact root of what leads to insulin resistance is not yet known, the lack of sensitivity is what characterizes blood sugar to go up. However, controlling and preventing the insulin resistance is certainly not an impossible task.
It is accepted that by incorporating more vegetables, decreasing the amount of high fat, high sugar foods you consume, and making an effort to exercise more, you will be doing yourself a tremendous service when it comes to managing this condition.
Consuming the right nutritious foods, avoiding unhealthy ones, and increasing physical activity levels have a positive effect on insulin resistance. As this is the only agreed upon reason for what may cause Type two Diabetes, it is in your best interest to learn about how to most effectively control it.
