HAVE YOU GIVEN UP ON LIFE?

How many times have you tried to break bad habits, and after several attempt just "thrown in the towel"? How often have you promised to change a compulsive behavior, only to find the difficulty of change is greater than your hope for a better life? Perhaps it's possible that your mind controls you instead of you controlling your mind.

When you finish reading this article, you will have a clear idea of how your mind works, how to use its power to smash old habits and regain control of your life.

WHAT IS MIND?

What is mind? Do you know in what part of your body it lies? If you asked these questions to those who profess to know all about the mind, you will receive many answers. Christian Science tells us that mind is God. Many Psychologists tell us that the mind is the mentality of man. Others will tell you that is part of the soul. But really, what is the human mind?

For purposes of the exercise, this is the definition I like: mind is the name given to the activities of the cells and neurons of your brain. It is not a physical part you.

Let me give you an example: you can have high blood pressure, but there is no organ in your body that is called high blood pressure, this is just an activity that describes how fast the blood is traveling through your veins. In the same way the mind is not an organ, it is just the name given to the activities of the cells in your brain.

So if someone tells you you're losing your mind, answer that you cannot possibly be, because you do not have one ;-)

While the human mind (the function of the cells in your brain) is divided into several parts, you mainly hear about the conscious and the subconscious mind. So how does it work?

YOU ARE THE CREATOR AND OPERATOR OF YOUR MIND

You experience your surroundings through the five senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch). When you decide to accept or entertain an idea, a thought, or a new image, you create new connections in your brain cells that did not exist before, and now work in association with that idea.

In your brain there are billions and billions of brain cells with no content, waiting to be used by you. That's why you've heard that we only use less than 10% of our brain capacity.

Your mind together with your brain, has, through the years, been shaped according to the concepts and ideas with which you choose to associate or identify - you are actually creating your mind daily.

So what does the power of the mind have to do with my bad habits?

I figured you were going to ask me ... and I present to you; the answer ... in part 2 of this article. Head on down there now. I promise you won't be sorry
