Tiles aren’t just some natural stone that people dig out of the earth and then shops display them which people buy and stick them on their walls and floors. It’s not even the simplest case where people made tiles out pottery or ceramic fashion those with different colours and designs then market the products to sell them to the retailers.
Tiles are a wonderful piece of creation that people spend endless hours on researching and carrying out product development which is all for the final look of the finished product. There are enormous levels of research and development budgets that are spent by all the large manufactures all around the world.
Just some of the main places that tiles are sourced and supplied from are from places like Brazil, Mexico, India, China, Australia, New Zealand and places in the middle east like Jordan, Egypt, and also the main countries that are in Africa.
All of the countries have different tiles that they specialise in, like China specialises in mosaics and porcelain tiles, whilst the countries in the Middle East specialise in ceramic tiles. Every region in the world sources different products made from locally sourced materials, therefore making them a region for expertise in a particular field.
In the United Kingdom they are know for manufacturing quality glass tiles that are tune to perfection after so many companies involved in the manufacturing of tiles that dates back to a couple of hundred years. So a lot of British companies have a huge audience that has great heritage behind them and produce nothing but excellence.
Tiles are imported throughout the world and the world currency that these tiles are bought and sold on the international markets is dealt using only the American dollar. This is the global currency for the tile industry throughout the world. One national wholesaler of tiles would import on average nine to ten countries, but the tiles that would be imported would have to exported in an international freight shipping containers, due to the enormous weight of the tiles this just isn’t possible to ship it by air freight.
An importer would have to concentrate on tiles such as the kitchen, the bathroom, dinning room, and general indoor and outdoor floor tiles. Just within the kitchen are approximately several hundred tiles to choose from, so the importers have to be extra careful when ordering the correct tiles for the kitchens that would sell. The last thing that they want is huge levels of kitchen tiles stuck in the warehouse that are struggling to sell due to a un popular range that potential customers don’t like.
Within the kitchen section for tiles you have the kitchen floor tiles and also the kitchen wall tiles. Generally in the kitchen you have the tiles that are individually small compared other tiles in the home. The reason for this is that they look more unique and give it that extra smart design to the walls. As for the floor tiles in the kitchen you have again a vast range of tiles that you can choose from, it depends on what colour kitchen you have as you’d want to blend the floor and the kitchen cabinets.
