Planning to install a bathtub in a limited space can be a tricky undertaking. If you still want to squeeze in a shower stall right next to it, smaller bathrooms make it difficult to install a standard 5' bathtub. There are options for small bathtubs that one can take advantage of. A bathtub is your obvious choice if you prefer to relax for an extended period of time while you bathe. There are soaking bathtubs that allow an individual to fully immerse themselves without having to bunch up and are deeper than they are long, even if the idea of a smaller bathtub isn't very appealing with the potentially limited leg space. Rather than having to slide down into the tub to fully cover yourself with water, you could sit in a reclining position and still be able to fully immerse yourself. Entering bathtubs with a door on the side make it much easier in a limited space with walk-in tubs that are available. Conventionally sized tubs aren't as easily accommodated in tight spaces as these other options are.
If you are looking for a more practical use of space, then occupying a corner with your bathtub can be a good idea as well. An individual can still bathe properly and comfortably with corner bathtubs that are especially useful for bathroom design projects that try to maximize the available space. Being installed in corners, a corner bathtub can be installed in curved or angled spaces and are usually situated under a window on either side. As they are built in, make it easier to move about in the bathroom and clean when necessary. Your cosmetics and bathing essentials such as shampoos, soaps, and oils can be placed on a deck that is usually featured on the tub itself. Your bathing space can be made more relaxing by placing decorative items on the ledge, being situated under a window. A considerable amount of space can be saved since they can be fitted between vanities and cabinets that are already in the bathroom.
If you are looking for a bathtub that is primarily for relaxation rather than cleansing and need one that allows you to do so in a limited space, then the bathtubs used by the Japanese can be a preferable option. Compared to what one would be accustomed to seeing in the United states, Japanese bathtubs are constructed differently. Rather than sliding into it, a Japanese tub is fashioned to accommodate a person sitting down and can allow for a person to be full immersed up to the chin. There are local brands that manufacture similar styles as those that are imported are more expensive.
