Scams don’t last. They certainly don’t last a decade. Yet, a recent "well planned" propaganda campaign tried to convey Site Build It as a scam even though Site Build It (SBI) has been around for close to a decade (launched in December 2000).

The people who set up this campaign spent a lot of time and effort, spreading their negative propaganda across the web. This was done to further their own monetary gains (with money making schemes they peddled).

Basically, how this Site Build It scam campaign was set up and executed, included having the propagators of the Site Build It scam clearly instruct their own "followers" how to write un-researched reviews of SBI. They were instructed on how to...

  • set up links with keywords (to fool the search engines)

  • take the campaign offline, so that the search engines couldn’t detect their plans

  • remove incriminating evidence of their search engines tricks

The Site Build It scam reviews were written by people who had not tried SBI, or even researched it in the least. Clearly these "reviews" were blatant propaganda, and hot air.

Thinks about this for a moment. All top affiliates advise that before an affiliate writes a review, they should use, try, or read the product or book before writing anything. Yet, the Site Build It scam reviews were all written by people who had not tried, or even looked at SBI.

Propaganda campaigns of all sorts can be executed to damage any company or product. The downside of this is that the propagators dishonestly ride on the name of the company or product for their own monetary gain.

The leaders of the Site Build It scam promoted a false system of building hundreds of micro-sites, with copied content, and using inter-linking strategies to increase search engine ranking.

Not following the terms of a search engine will eventually get site owners banned from the search engine. For example, Google states the following...

  • ...create unique, relevant content

  • ... link schemes can include... excessive reciprocal links or excessive link exchanging ("Link to me and I'll link to you.")

  • The best way to get other sites to create relevant links to yours is to create unique, relevant content...

  • Creating good content pays off: Links are usually editorial votes given by choice.

Eventually, many of the leaders involved in the Site Build It Scam Propaganda Campaign were "slapped" by Google. Unfortunately, some of the negative effects of this scheme remain.

Not a single SBIer has ever been banned from Google, in all the time since SBI was launched. This is because SBI "keeps it real", and works with the search engines.

The question to ask then: Is Site Build It a scam, or is it the real thing?
