Some Pomeranian owners think that this process is tiring and causing a lot of trouble, but most dog lovers view this as essential in rearing their dogs.

1. Your Pomeranian dog's body language. You must observe the signs that will warn you when your dog wants to go potty.

2. For Pomeranian puppies, always remember that they need to relieve themselves at constant intervals; such as upon waking up in the morning, after resting or playing, after each meal, before and after crating and before they sleep in the evening.

3. Walk your Pomeranian when you think it's time for him to go potty. Take him outside to your yard or any special place where he can do his potty every single time.

4. When your dog excreted in the right place, you must always praise him for a job well done. Some dog owners give their pets some rewards or treats for a job well done. Don't forget, giving treats must be always in the list because your pet Pomeranian will eventually learn that rewards are for doing it the right way.

5. After some time, the signal training may be introduced. Hang a bell in your door, just right so he can push it with his nose or paw. Train your Pomeranian on how to push the bell when he wants to alert you that he needs to do his business.

6. Until such time that the potty training has been well established, your dog must not be allowed to wander inside the house so he won't think that it's fine to eliminate waste anywhere in the house.

7. Purchase a crate for your Pomeranian puppy. This is a prerequisite prior to setting out the crate training. Your pet Pomeranian will be much happier now that he has his own place. Since this breed is clean by nature, messing up his crate too much is not a problem.

8. If you live in a building or somewhere that doesn't have a backyard, you can settle placing a training litter pan inside your home. You can create a small space where your Pomeranian can go about his business.

9. Do not house train your dog in a negative condition. Punishments like hitting or scolding will bring you no good. In some cases, your dog may try to do it or had accidentally done it, strong and determined words like No or Freeze will work. Your firm commanding voice will cause him to halt whatever he's doing.

10. Be prepared to come home to a stained house after leaving your dog for a few hours. Pomeranians are proven to experience severe separation anxiety when proper training is not established.
