Eating a cup of plain yogurt daily or inserting a tampon that is soak with yogurt can help treat existing vaginal infections.
Another proven cure for bacterial vaginosis and vagina odor is garlic. With its strong anti-fungal properties, garlic has shown to be able to eliminate the harmful bacterial in the vagina and minimize the strong smell of bad vaginal odor. Making a natural garlic paste or inserting a garlic clove in your vagina can help reduce vaginal odor.
Tea tree oil has long been used in the past as a natural remedy by women to help treat vaginal infections. Because of it's strong antiseptic and anti-fungal properties, tea tree helps eliminate the "bad bacteria" that may be causing bacterial vaginosis. The use of suppositories of tea tree oil has proven effective for many women. Another approach would be to add 10 to 12 drops to your warm bath water.

Do not wear tight clothing such as jeans and tight panties. Constricting clothes may cause vaginal sweating which can trap moisture that would encourage bacterial growth, thereby increasing the chances of a vaginal infection.
Consume more water, fruits and vegetables that contain natural antioxidants qualities to help keep the vagina flushed of "bad" bacteria.
If you are sexually active, encourage your partner to use condoms. Bacterial vaginosis can often develop or recur after unprotected sex with a new partner and is more common in women with multiple partners.
