Is it really possible rubber stamps can fall in love with each other? Yes – very much so. The other day in the office I noticed two rubber stamps on my desk looking at each other almost with tears on their handles. They were the same size rubber stamps and looked the same when just looking at them but when I turned them over it became obvious their love was doomed. On one of the rubber stamps the text plate was made of rubber and on the other one is was made of polymer and even the rubber stamp with the rubber text plate was very attracted to the polymer one it knew it would never work. The impressions made by the polymer text plate would be of a very bad quality. There would be ink all over the document stamped, the letters would be very difficult to read if not impossible, the ink would fill out the holes in letters like o, p, q and so on. This meant the genes of the polymer rubber stamp would be mixed with the genes on the rubber made rubber stamp text plate and the quality of all future impressions would be bad. This could not happen and would destroy the future of rubber stamps. It was all ready bad enough that rubber stamps with polymer text plates were being produced but to think the future could be a mix of polymer and rubber text plates would make the situation even worth.

The polymer rubber stamp was also aware of this and had never been proud of the impressions it produced but did really not have a choice since it should never have been made. The polymer stamp was so much in love with the rubber made stamp and knowing the love was doomed made tears running down the handle which made the situation even worth. The tears got mixed with the ink on the text plate and which made the impressions more or less unreadable.

The lesson to be learned from the doomed love of these two rubber stamps is always to go for quality. Poor made products like polymer rubber stamps will damage the reputation of the entire rubber stamp family so in no way could the rubber stamp with the rubber made text plate allow itself to be in love with the polymer stamp. It felt sad and could not really understand how it could fall in love with the polymer stamp – but it realised that good looking was not the same a good quality.
