Television advertising has been on a down slide since the arrival of the internet. However, internet is yet to overtake that widespread awareness television is creating through advertisements and still remains as the forefront runner among all advertising mediums.
Each week, nearly 85% of consumers watch television and majority of them who are adults spend just about 24 hrs (a single day) watching TV.
Another interesting study reveals that almost 99.5% of people resort to watch television while that percentage is far less as compared to people who follow other mediums like radio or newspapers. Almost 50% and 75% of people never listen to commercial radio and read regional newspapers, respectively.

Many business establishments claim that advertising through television still works for them. Many Television brands expect a hike in 5% of their sales over a month of advertising on television. However, satellite channels confirm a still higher percentage of sales thanks to highly targeted audiences.
