It can be hard to compare all the features and prices of every LCD TV on the market before making a purchase, even when there are many good reviews already written about each one. Here is a convenient list of the top 3 LCD TVs, based on their features (but not their prices).
Sony Bravia EX700 Series
This is a 60-inch model, and quite possibly the very best LCD HDTV that you can buy. The screen has a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio with 7 different viewing options (such as Wide Zoom, 4:3 or Normal). The viewing angle is 52 degrees, much better than other models with only 30 to 40 degrees of clear viewing. One of the more sophisticated features is the Ambient Sensor, that detects the ambient lighting in the room and will adjust the picture display to compensate.
It doesn't have the same refresh rate as some other models, but the video is still smooth and there are no signs of juddering.
Samsung UN55C8000
This is a 3D compatible model, though it is quite expensive for what you get. It uses an "edge-lit" LED format which does lead to picture clarity issues at too much of an angle from the screen, as is typical with many other LED TV models. Samsung also offers streaming video with widget content through an integrated Apps platform that is cutting edge.
Juddering can be an issue when watching movies but by turning off the auto motion plus feature, it can help get rid of any jerky scenes. This HDTV model has a 55-inch screen and 1080p resolution.
Samsung LN32C350
Only a 32-inch screen but this Samsung LCD HDTV does provide excellent brightness and color quality. The resolution is 720p and there is a gaming mode that improves video quality and response time when playing video games.
There are inputs for thumb drives, digital cameras and 2 HDMI input ports as well. Audio outputs are 10W, and they support multichannel sound and second audio program. This HDTV is Energy Star 4.0 compliant and it beats those standards by 42%.
As new models and new technology come on the market, other models may take the place of these as the top three LCD TVs. But for the moment, these are the best options out there and should be given good consideration if you are buying a new television.
