One of my many hobbies includes jam making. As I also enjoy wine, I make bottles of wine on the odd occasion. I continuously struggled however to find brand new jam jars and bottles so you can imagine my joy when a friend gave me the web address of her supplier. They also sell the jars with twist off lids that are metallic and this helps to keep the jam sweet for longer. I am tempted to take a crack at these for an authentic country look. To finish the look, I also bought a quantity of beautiful labels. I jot down the flavour of the jam or wine and too the month in which I made it. Afterwards I each time, hand over one of my jams or wines to friends and family.

My attraction of wine making goes back a extremely long time. When I worked in the publicising job I was regularly invited to parties and meetings. I thought I would try making some myself as I had developed a very competent palette for wine. My preferred is elderberry wine, don't ask me why, I just love it.Finding suited wine bottles was hugely tricky at first nevertheless, again the net came to the rescue. The right bottles for wine making are glass bottles. They store a wide range of bottles in all shapes, colours and sizes. Some use corks as stoppers, several use screw top caps. I choose the screw lids as the cork tops always seem to break quickly. I have been through enough wine cork stoppers to know what I am talking about.

Bottles and jars are everywhere you peep. Think about it. Alcoholic drink, medicines, fizzy drinks, pickles, bathroom salts, cosmetics, and of course jam. Every day, I spot a recent variety of jar or bottle. Of all the jars and bottles that I have, it is the smooth surface that I love the most. I have read a lot of information about which jars and bottles are the better to use. Anyway, lets natter some more about my Jam making.

My passion for cookery stems from when I was quite young. My hubby has always said that I inherited this skill from my mother. It is handy being such a good cook, as I have something to load all my jars and bottles with. I even buy jars and bottles when I go on vacation. The most fantastic bargain I have ever made, was a hand-crafted glass bottle that was purchased when I was on vacation in Germany. I love the way they reflect the sunlight and they unsurprisingly remind me of a excellent trip I had.
