My boyfriend was very stressed because of work. It was mainly the horrible bosses and inconceivable deadlines that were affecting him. He was so exhausted when he came home that he just went to sleep. It is not an idealistic situation for either of us and at this moment, I just can't see things changing.I know, there are a number of couples like us. There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day, principally wanted time for each other. I have seen this affect others people relationships and they have split up.
I adore my boyfriend too much for this to happen to us. For his birthday, I knew a lake district weekend break would be the perfect thing to recharge his batteries. It seemed the reasonable thing to do under the circumstances as I felt we were innocently drifting apart due to the pressures of work.We both are partial to traveling and exploring new areas. We used to simply get in the car and explore when we had chance. Traditional country pubs and summer time in their gardens was a favourite hobby for us. If we were not at a country pub, then we would pack a picnic and head off to the sea-coast.
I remembered the lake district from a school visit loads of years ago. In fact I still have photographs of this magnificent time, it brings back countless happy memories. With this in mind, I decided to look on the internet at lake district hotels.
There were lots of hotels of all unique sizes and star ratings. I managed to narrow it down by looking for hotels with all mod cons and the comfort factor, as these would help us to relax. I wanted to choose a hotel that would be suitable for us both, a good base from which we could explore the stunning Lake District. Very soon, a hotel appeared that was perfect.
My boyfriend was delighted when he found about my little surprise. We were both looking forward to it. As it would happen, it turned into the best holiday we had ever took. The hotel was accurately how it was described on the net. To complete the weekend, we could not have asked for better weather. On that weekend, we both swore never to let work stress us out again.
To anyone who is in the same trouble that we were in, I thoroughly recommend a weekend break in the Lake District. The choice of hotels will make you return time and time again.
