Recently I had to spend a lot of time searching on the net for Office Furniture in Florida. I did this, when my sister asked me to go into partnership with her. You would not believe it but the right office furniture makes a huge difference when you are trying to get a clients business. Now I know that it is inexperienced to believe success will come our way if we present our skills. I surely did not realise how quick individuals would be to evaluate our professionalism from our working surroundings!

We were not long into our brand new partnership when we received some feedback from clients. The clients told us, that the reason they did not give us the contract is because our workplace furniture gave a horrid image of our business. We had fundamentally raided our houses (and our friends) of unwanted objects to furnish our office and this created completely the fabricated impression. As unfair as this was, we realized we had to amend this as speedily as possible.

Our 1st serious 'board meeting' was therefore all about how to give our working surroundings a fast facelift on a stretched budget. The first item was to find out exactly what we needed. A member of staff told us that by probing the web, we could find companies that not only provided furniture but they also gave a design service free of charge. We decided to take up their bid as we were completely out of our depth. We received so much valuable aid and smashing suggestions. For instance, we had never planned into the future and what we would do, if our business took off and we became busy.

We did have a back up idea but there was no need though, as this corporation thought of everything. Their idea was to design the office in a practical but comfy manner. This appealed to us because we were spending upwards of 12 hours a day in the office. All the room in the office was measured and then the organization showed us their advice on a few floor plans that they had drawn up. Seating was really vital. Workforce and clients had to equally feel comfortable.

Deciding which furniture we wanted was not effortless as there was so much selection. Cash for us was not free flowing but we had learned what happens when you cut corners. I was so positive when I saw how our new office was taking shape. It had been transformed into a slick operational business environment. We could tell from our clients faces that first impressions were enormously favourable and, whilst I still don't think you should ever judge a book by its cover, I can't deny that in business, it seems you are what you look.
