Whether travelling domestically or internationally, a passenger wondering what to expect from airport shuttle in Seattle will find a wide range of options available, at a range of prices. Almost all travel options are available both day and night. Don't worry - there is next to no chance of getting stuck at Sea-Tac airport. At the same time, avoid a long wait by remembering that services are less frequent at night.
This port serves Seattle and Tacoma, Washington and the rest of western Washington. Firms specializing in airport shuttles are easily found. Public transportation also links the port with a variety of destinations.
A passenger can be transferred to the heart of Seattle and its surrounding areas quickly and comfortably. Whatever one's budget, there will be an option that matches it. Other destinations in the United States are also accessible.
Reservations for all services can be made in advance either on the phone or online, or tickets bought on the day from the relevant ticketing booth. Reservations are recommended to avoid disappointment. This is particularly relevant when one has a flight to catch, or when one hopes to get to a soft bed after a tiring journey.
Either going to or from the airport, express shuttles are widely available. Limos or buses can be chartered for individuals or larger groups, as well as town cars. Most offer a discount for groups. The service takes passengers from door-to-door in a shared ride to most suburbs in and around Seattle, such as Redmond, Kirkland, Tacoma, Seattle, Everett, Mukilteo, Bellevue, and Olympia, to name a few.
Typically the shuttle vehicle is a van. It takes around 15 - 20 minutes to get to Seattle Downtown, and 20 - 30 minutes to reach Bellevue. However, the trip time is dependant on traffic. Major hospitals, ferry terminals and theaters are also on these routes. A separate shuttle runs daily to Vancouver, Canada, and Vashon Island is also a scheduled destination. Whitbey Island, 48 km from Seattle, has a separate shuttle of its own. If travelling to the airport, customers are conveniently dropped off at their airline.
Private buses, which do not operate as often as the shuttles, provide a cheaper solution. Port Angeles is passed twice every day, as are Sequim, Port Townsend, Discovery Bay and Kingston. Major hotels in Seattle's downtown district are served by another bus route. to and from all major downtown Seattle hotels.
If you are staying at a hotel or motel, you may be able to arrange a courtesy pick up. These have their own collection and arrival areas at the airport and have an off-site parking lot. A final option is public transportation. The recently opened Sea-Tac/Airport Station has a rail link with central Seattle, and buses also connect with the airport. There is an information booth at the airport that can furnish travellers with timetables and maps.
It is always advisable to check before you travel. However, as well served as Sea-Tac Airport is, a traveler who knows what to expect from airport shuffle in Seattle will find it's no problem to have a smooth take-off or landing, followed by an easy ride to their final destination.
