Candida infections are very common however symptoms of a yeast infection in women are by far the most prevalent and the most frustrating.

Dealing with a vaginal yeast infection is one of the most frustrating candida infections to have and most women have had at least one in their lives.

Women have yeast infections from a multitude of many factors. Some lucky ladies may very rarely get or understand a yeast infection while other women constantly have to deal with them. Extremely mild discharge and itching to a heavy discharge with a constant itching are the symptoms you have to endure.

Annoying, frustrating vaginal itching, nothing is more aggravating to have to endure for a day or more. It's embarrassing and can make your everyday life seem impossible.

You will only find temporary relief, at best, with ointments to help with itching. You have to keep going to the bathroom to apply these creams that just mask the problem, who really wants to do that?

Then there is the classic symptom of a yeast infection in women, the thick, yucky vaginal discharge. Like the itching wasn't enough to deal with.

Unfortunately, you cannot wash this stuff away. This is the candida overgrowth showing itself. The only thing you can do about this is to overload your system with good bacteria, because at this stage in the infection, the yeast has wiped all of your "good" or natural bacteria away.

Restoring your flora has multiple different natural options. But it's probably going to take some effort on your part. Get some non-sweetened yogurt and apply it vaginally every day or just eat it. We are trying to replace your good bacteria here and this is an excellent way to start.

Taking probiotics orally will also help. Another symptom you may have with this infection could be vaginal burning. This usually comes with the itching. Burning during urination is not caused by the scratching, however. The inner walls of your vagina can become raw and irritated due to the inflammation caused by the yeast overgrowth.

Itching, burning and a white discharge are the three main symptoms for a yeast infection. You have a yeast infection if you are experiencing these three symptoms. Symptoms of a yeast infection in women are generally easy to mask but curing the underlying root of the problem is what you should be after.

Most women don't work too hard to cure the root of the problem, with a healthy immune system. You may have a more difficult time if your immune system has been weakened for any reason.

Curing a yeast infection can be as simple as taking the steps to understand it, and then doing what is necessary to eliminate the problem. Yeast can take over very quickly, so it would be wise to get a hold of it before it gets out of control. When it gets out of control, then it can become more than just a simple infection.
