Many people want to know how to get the best cruise deal. It's something that's an important part of your holiday. The more money you have to spend on board and at ports the better for you. So how do you get a good deal? The answer is diligence. This isn't a sexy word and it means spending time on your part doing research, but believe me it's worth it!
Obviously the best place to start is online. Just startlooking around to get an idea of what you would like. You can check out destinations, cruise ships and lots more. You'll be surprised at what you can find and how knowledgeable you will become in a short time.
Next phone or email your friends and family to see if they have any smart ideas. Even if they have never been on a cruise themselves, they might know of people who have just returned from a fabulous vacation and have got great cruise deals. Now you'll have an even better idea of what you might want.
The next step is to go and find a cruise travel agency near you. You might even discover one in the local mall or main street. Put on your shoes and go visit them. You'll be definitely glad you did. They will give you individual attention and lots of usually very good suggestions. They are experts in their area and will often come up with some great deals. They can give you first hand advice on what different cabins look like, the meals and snacks served; alcohol and other drinks; party nights, swimming pools, sports activities on board, etc. etc. Thank them profusely and go back home.
Check out the deals they have offered you on the internet. Maybe you can get a better one yourself? You also want to check out the airfaire as again, maybe there's a special price you can take advantage of. If you've decided on a special cruise ship, go to some blogs or forums to discover out what other people are saying about their experience with that ship. You might want to forego this and take the deal, but just be tolerant as it pays to do your due diligence.
If you find a better deal on the internet good for you. You research may also bring up more questions. In any case you will soon be able to make a decision and feel great about it. If it means another trip to the cruise travel agency, do it as soon as you can so you can be sure of getting the same deal they offered. There still maybe more options you can explore from them. Maybe an upgraded cabin or a flight without stopovers or a better time schedule. It doesn't hurt at all to just simply ask. Remember, you want the best cruise deal out there.
You can also check out articles and ebooks that can give you great tips and advice how to get the best out of your cruise experience.
You will discover that doing due diligence isn't hard and can be not only fun but extremely rewarding!
