Lose fat and keep muscle for men
Lose fat and keep muscle for men seems to be a question that is asked the most in the locker room and the gym. So is losing fat and keeping muscle only for men? No it's not only for men, it is for women too. Matter of fact it is for anyone that has a desire for weight loss in general. For anyone wanting to lose body fat it is important to keep muscle. If you are losing weight in general but are not eating the right nutritious foods to help keep muscle and exercising regularly you are likely losing muscle along with fat. In my book that is unacceptable.
So how does one go about losing fat and keeping muscle. First question is, is it possible to do both at the same time. Yes it is. According to research it is possible to lose fat and keep muscle for men or anyone in general. However building muscle and losing fat at the same time is another topic all together.
Diet is the most important aspect of losing fat and keeping muscle. Diet plays a role of around 85% to 90% in the process. If you do not have the right nutrients to maintain muscle your body will first search fat and then eat muscle if it cannot be satisfied there. Calories is very important in losing body fat. If you are eating over what your max calorie level is your body will store the extra as fat for energy later. If you do not use that energy, each and every day you eat over that max you are adding more fat. So finding your metabolic rate and staying just under that is very important to lose fat and keep muscle for men. Second would be exercise.
Exercise will help maintain the muscle you have while your body strips the fat. So what kind of exercise. To lose fat and keep muscle for men they have to target each and every muscle group at least once per week. This does not mean you have to spend hours in the gym lifting heavy weights. Getting these muscle groups resistance is the key. Matter of fact you do not even need a gym. You can do all the exercise you need right in your own home with minimal equipment and for cheap. That will have to be a whole new topic and article.
Balance is the key to lose fat and keep muscle for men. You have to balance your diet and exercise but remember diet is the most important factor. But, without either you will lack in one area or another. Diet has to be an everyday thing and keeping track of the calories you eat. Eating the right calories in the form of lean meats, fruit, vegetables, low glycemic carbs and healthy fats is the balance you are looking for. Eating small more frequent meals during the day to reach your caloric level is the key. Exercising only takes any where from 30 minutes to two hours depending on your tolerance level and endurance. If you have not been active for some time it is recommended to start small and slowly so injury does not side line your efforts.
Programs are out their to be researched and tried. But take my advice you will spend money on educating your self on what to do. But spending the right money in the right place is very important. You could spend hundreds of dollars on personal trainers and dietitians so be careful. That's what the search engines are for researching good programs. You can see a good diet program that is currently the best on the market in my opinion here at our site. I would recommend you take a look here first.
