Who wouldn't want to start an internet home based business these days? Each day seems to give more tensions to even just the work commute, not to mention the work day. When you take into consideration the bad weather, rising gas expense, and highway accidents, the home based business idea is looking better and better.
However, before entering into a venture for a home based business, as with any business, it's wise to get all your facts. If you're new to the idea of multilevel marketing, you'll need to be aware of the underestimated work ahead. The biggest reason why multilevel marketing has a bad name is that people tend to buy into hope, with no real expectations of giving the business a lot of effort. I advise you to face these myths head on so as to protect yourself from misconceptions.
If you're starting a home based business, beware of the following stumbling blocks that will keep you "at the bottom of the pyramid":
MY FIRST POINT IS THAT THE "PYRAMID" YOU'VE BEEN HEARING ABOUT DOES NOT EXIST.
Companies that are actual pyramid schemes are defined as multilevel companies that do not have any product or service for sale. Pyramid scheme companies are against the law, but they're often confused with the lawful MLM company. The difference is that pyramids are structured to hold out for a limited time and are doomed to crash. On the contrary, a good multilevel company with a good product generally grows stronger with every year, even in difficult economic times. As for the shape of the pyramid, any large organization is that shape, from large corporations to churches to girl scouts! Perhaps you've heard that only the people at the top have the cash flow - and that's true, same as with the large corporations run by CEOs - this is not at all because of when they came in or who is above them. The problem is that those "people at the bottom" expect a hand out and don't expect to work. The truth is that, very often, a good downline can prove to be more successful than the sponsor who brought him in.
SECONDLY, DON'T BELIEVE THAT INCOME WILL COME QUICKLY AND EASILY.
You can achieve the thousand dollar level, but it doesn't come without time and hard work. Contrary to the silver platter, it would take at least 100 recruits before you can get that $1000 of residual monthly income. The establishment of an online home based business requires sacrifice of both cash and time. When you spend a lot, the time allotted doesn't need to be as much; but if you're low on cash, be prepared to spend a lot of time! And, If you're lacking in both extra time and money, be prepared to spend a long time! But your success is as sure as your burning desire and devotion. As long as you are very persistent in what you do and don't give up, it's very possible to achieve. It just takes time and perseverance. Be careful to have a plan when you join an opportunity. Don't buy into hope; buy into a business opportunity with a plan to work, and stick to your plan!
THIRD - STAY AWAY FROM THE POTENTIAL SPONSOR WHO CALLS IT A "GROUND FLOOR OPPORTUNITY".
There is truth in that a new company can bring big money to those who came in at the ground floor, assuming it grows big. On the contrary, a superior networking company actually becomes stronger as the years go by. You don't have to make any quick decisions when pressured in this way.
MYTH NUMBER FOUR: "JUST WORK FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS CREATING YOUR BUSINESS, AND THE REST IS ON AUTOPILOT".
The sad truth is that people are lazy and people are quitters. This is even true for who are excited about the business and start off doing well. Bottom line, don't expect to hang onto your original downline, no matter how good they are. The only thing you can count on is numbers, and there are plenty of people to be found online. You just have to keep searching and keep getting leads to convert and add to your business. You can't expect your internet home based business to sell your product, but with the right internet traffic, you can expect to build a successful downline!
AND, THE FIFTH MYTH, AN ESTABLISHED MLM STARTS AT THE TOP, AND WEAKER LINKS ARE AT THE BOTTOM.
Conversely, you can expect that a strong MLM team builds from the bottom up. Try to picture it in reverse; your strongest recruits are at the bottom, building your foundation. When they help other people, your business is growing - all from the "foundation" you've laid - finding the right people who are willing to work and help each other on the team. You are the foundation, hence the bottom, of the business. Hence, for a successful internet home based business, it begins with you and your system to train others, which, when done correctly, brings the sweet satisfaction of success!
