Twitter can be a real cash cow for you, provided you can exploit it properly. Most companies wish to replicate the success Dell achieved by running extensive e-marketing campaigns on Twitter (remember, Dell sold $6.5 million worth of PCs and accessories by using Twitter for conducting digital marketing of their products), few can even dream of coming close to that. Will you be the one to show others the way to do it? It is certainly possible, provided you approach the target in the correct manner, after formulating a stable digital marketing strategy. Here are some tips to get you started in the proper manner.
-
Remain active on Twitter: No matter how busy your employees are, make sure that there are at least a couple updates being posted on any given day. Do not let the account become inactive for even a single day. When you stay active on Twitter, your followers get to see the name of your brand every day, and it stays to the back of their minds. Maintain this pattern, and don’t let your brand disappear, only to resurface out of nowhere when you have to promote a special deal!
-
Regularly ask for feedback: Make it a point to send out at least one tweet every day that asks your customers and clients to post feedback about your products and services. Apart from learning about customer grievances quickly and getting a chance to solve those, this will also help improve brand loyalty among customers in the long run.
-
Be prepared to handle criticism: True, there is a caveat for using Twitter as a channel for receiving customer feedbacks. If any negative comment is posted by a disgruntled customer, it will be visible to all of your followers on Twitter. However, if you able to provide a constructive solution to the customer’s grievances, then your company will actually come off as one that takes good care of its customers. Once more, this is a great way of ensuring that more customers stay loyal to your brand.
On a final note – never give up on Twitter. It may take you some time to establish a strong foothold on digital marketing. You cannot just hope to achieve a boost in profits overnight. Keep your account active and engage in conversations with your followers. When done properly, this will help you build good rapport with your clients, and consequently, boost your profits to a good extent.
