Writing a letter and then posting it with a hope to get the replies soon is now the past of the modern world. With huge reformation in every sphere, the communication process has also been influenced by the concept of electronic age, where every function is conducted electronically. From education to business to entertainment to communication, each and every sphere has greatly been motivated by the concept of both wired and wireless technologies. SMTP mail server, in this context, plays a very significant role in facilitating successful communication between two users. With the help of SMTP relay services, it becomes easier for two users sitting on their respective PCs to interact with each other through electronic mails or emails.

Several limitations or restrictions have been observed to be posed by the ISP server, which does not allow a user to send a mail to another person, if he does not belong to the same network. The restrictions, undoubtedly, have been put on the process of emailing for something better. Lack of security checks lead to certain misuses, which is required to be handled properly. With an advanced authentication standards, the SMTP relay services have come into focus, which makes it easier for the user, even belonging to some other network, to communicate with whoever he wants. The SMTP mail server, in this case, prevents the misuse of the process.

Sending electronic mails have, surely, been made quite easier for the users with the help of the SMTP relay services, but the SMTP server is needed to use extended commands, when bulk mails are required to be sent to the recipients for professional purposes. However, the steps to be followed to use this SMTP mail server for remote email access have been mentioned below:

First of all, you need to set up an email account with these relay services and then record the default settings of SMTP. This will help you in configuring your email program for further usage.

Then, you need to launch your account and go on selecting the relevant options where you have configured your email accounts. For instance, in Microsoft Outlook 2007, Tools – Account Settings – this will open an Account Settings dialogue box.

As per your requirements, you need to make all the modifications in the settings option. In Outlook, Email tab – select the account – press the button Change – the change email account dialog box will open.

The next step is to record the default SMTP mail server settings that your account uses at that very point.

To customize the SMTP settings, however, you can use the details provided by your SMTP relay services. This step is vital as this will only enable the user's system to use SMTP server for sending mails rather than the server of ISP.

If you have more than one email account, you can repeat the process for them if they, too require these SMTP relay services.

Following these steps will, definitely help you bypass all the ISP restrictions and send emails to different users using SMTP mail server, even if you do not belong to the same network.
