Okay so you are an exhibitor at a seminar on solar energy products…But how do you let people know about it? There are dozens of events happening so why should people attend the one you are organising? The answer is simple: implement event marketing. This is a strategy that uses various techniques to get maximum response at the lowest possible cost.
Although there is no hard and fast rule about marketing events, there are certain tips and tricks that work effectively:
• If you are marketing a certain product, then it is necessary that your message gets across to the target audience. Since it is the audiences who will take the ultimate decision of buying, atleast 50-60% of them have to attend. Extensive research has to be conducted about the profiles of the target audience.
• Thoroughly analyze the value-added benefits that will be provided by the organizer of the event. Check if they will allow you to gain access to the list of sponsors, delegates, and other attendees. If yes, then you can promote the products that will be available and let them know about the location of your booth as well. Other benefits include the name of your company in the participant email distributions and appearing as an advertisement in the event show guide.
• You should compute the cost-effectiveness of the entire event and if it will be of use to your company in the long run. The question here is "Who is attending?" and not "How many people will be attending?"
• Giving away something free is not the right decision always. However, you can still give samples of products that are relevant to the business that is promoted through the event is fine.
• Location is the most important. If you purchase a booth that is poorly located due to its cheap price, then it is a mistake on your part as most visitors will pass by without stopping or not go near the area at all. Booths located near restrooms, food stations or the entrance is the best.
Nowadays, various event marketing companies will take care of promotion of your company during events. You don’t have to take the headache of implementing the strategies by yourself because the event marketers will do it for you. For example, the Event2Mobile application has been very useful in such cases. Want to know more about event marketing? Simple visit their website to get more details.
