Four years after the iPhone 2G launched on January 9, 2007 Apple finally released its smash hit smart phone to a seconds cell phone service provider. There have been rumors about Verizon receiving the iPhone for years and it finally happened in 2011. Verizon is launching the fourth generation iPhone on February 10th 2010 to millions of excited customers.

The iPhone 4 is exactly the same as AT&T’s iPhone 4 with two exceptions.

  • On Verizon you cannot have a concurrent data connection. This means you cannot talk on the phone and use the browser, check email, use the gps or do anything else while you’re talking. You can talk and browse the web at the same time on AT&T’s network. This may not be deal breaker, but it is very helpful to be able to look something up for someone you’re talking to instead of needing to hang up with the person, look up the information and then call the person back.

  • The other small difference is the vibrate and volume button locations. On the Verizon iPhone they had to be moved for some reason. This means the case manufactures are going to create specially made Verizon iPhone 4 cases.

Video calling is one of the most compelling feature of this highly-anticipated phone's debut. The iphone 4 can make phone calls even more personal as you watch your girlfriend tear up after popping the question. Or maybe you want to see your boss's reaction firsthand as he reads your new report. Wouldn't mom love to see that beautiful Hawaiian beach in the background as you bask in the sun on vacation? And the video calling works right out of the box with Skype (no Wi-Fi required)!

What about the display you ask? IPhone 4's retina display is so vibrant and crisp that the human eye is completely incapable of identifying individual pixels. This remarkable resolution makes the iPhone 4 the sharpest phone screen in production--just another paramount feature on this amazing phone. No more pixilated images!

With high-definition video recording and editing, you're the director. Film in Hd even in poorly-illuminated locations courtesy of the backside illumination sensor and a built-in L.E.D. light. Also, you can film and edit yourself using an app called iMovie. This new app is only $4.99, and is purchasable at the App Store.

Multitasking has never been easier with the iPhone 4. Process multiple third-party apps simultaneously, and switch effortlessly between them without retarding the phones performance on foreground apps-- or prematurely depleting the battery. Since there's also an app store with countless applications(many of them for free) you'll never suffer an idle moment with iPhone 4.

The iPhone 4 is arguably the coolest phone to be released on to the market. So go ahead and yell it aloud : Wow, video calling!

Most prominent features of the iPhone 4:

  • Video calling ( this feature operates right from the box).

  • HD video recording and editing ( also, a five-mega pixel camera with a LED light.)

  • Retina display ( screen size is 3.5" diagonally and boasts a pixel resolution of 960X640 @ 326 P.P.I. )

  • Find your iPhone is now free. You can sign up on Apple’s site and if you ever lose your phone you can locate it on a map in real time.
