As you are serving up the punch this holiday season, here are a few great tips that can help you serve up that punch in style.

Tip #1 - Freeze Punch Ice Cubes

One great tip for serving up your punch for the holidays is to freeze some punch ice cubes ahead of time. When you use regular ice cubes to keep the punch cold, eventually the ice cubes melt and they begin to water down your punch. Freezing some of the punch into cubes ahead of time means that your punch won't get diluted when you add these cubes to the punch bowl. Another fun option is to create an ice mold with some punch ahead of time. This won't dilute the punch and since the mold is larger, it will keep your punch cooler longer.

Tip #2 - Keep it Hot

If you are serving a hot punch for the holidays, it's important that you keep it hot. You don't want it to cool too much through the party, since they may take away from the taste. Instead of pouring all the hot punch into your serving bowl, keep some of the punch simmering gently on the stove. This way you can keep topping off the bowl throughout the party to keep the punch nice and hot. Another great idea is to put your punch in a slow cooker. You can keep it set on low, which will keep the punch nice and warm all through the party.

Tip #3 - Serve the Punch Yourself

Sometimes having one punch bowl and one ladle can turn into a problem. This often creates a line of people waiting to get a drink of punch. You can save them the problem by serving the punch yourself. One option is to stand by the bowl and serve everyone. Tip #4 - Add the Carbonation Last

For many punch recipes, the carbonation really makes the difference. However, it's easy for the fizz to go away after a short period of time. To avoid this, add the carbonation to the punch last. Usually you can use seltzer water or a clear soda like lemon lime to add the carbonation. As you add more punch through the party, add more carbonation as well.
