If you are a network marketer then you might benefit from starting your own blog.
If you are using the internet to grow your business then it's especially important to concentrate on building trust and rapport with people. There is still a small amount of scepticism among the general public for any kind of business online, naturally this is because there have been many scammers and fraudsters who have ripped people off online. You will need a way to gain the trust of your potential prospect.
Using the principles that Mike Dillard teaches on attraction marketing, you can achieve this. In essence you are attracting prospects to you as you've positioned yourself correctly, so you can be found and you are offering value to people up front, rather than doing what most are doing and immediately asking for a sale. Your own blog is a great way of achieving this result
Having you own MLM blog is having your own real estate online, it's your house where your visitors will come by invitation and often without invitation. Its out there working for you every day of the year, no matter what hour it is.
You might want to dedicate your front page to introducing yourself, pictures always work well and you could write a short page about you. Explain your background, your business, how you came to be involved with network marketing etc. You should also make regular blog posts that provide valuable information and training to people. People love folks who are helping others! If you discover something new, write about it, so others can benefit from your knowledge.
Your blog can be used to generate leads to your sales funnel. My personal blog generates 20-50 leads each day and this is because I get a lot of traffic to it. Most people find my blog from the search engines, I've written quite a bit of content and this often gets listed in Google and the other search engines, which is a good source of free traffic. Make sure that your blog is capable of capturing information, so you need some opt in boxes where people can put in their name and email address in exchange for something that you are offering (often called a lead magnet). This will enable you to generate leads.
Another good use for your blog, is to sell products as an affiliate through it. I created an 'Essential Tools' page on my blog where I give a short review of the products and then use a banner where the visitors can click through to the vendor's site. You should really be promoting products that you have personal experience of. If someone buys a product from you that isn't very good, they may not be too happy with you or the vendor.
Its surprising the number of people in this business that don't have their own MLM blog, many tell me it's 'too technical'. The reality is that you don't really need much technical expertise at all, it really is a few clicks away. A small amount of research will reveal to you just how easy it is. Its also a good plan to have your own website hosting account and host your blog there. It saves you having to use a public blog site where your content is at the mercy of someone else
One sure way you can explode your business, position yourself as a leader and have prospects coming to you, is to set up and regularly contribute to your own MLM blog.
