Skilled trainers are continually in high demand in the country due to the growing needs of meeting the ever-changing technology and information. If you want to maintain your job’s success and enhance your professional development, it is essential for you to acquire new knowledge and skills. While some may breeze through their new job, for most new employees training is a necessary part of the working experience. Hence, it is important to have trainers in the company to ensure employees possess the knowledge, skills, ability and self-confidences to perform well in their new job.

But you need more than just any trainers. Great ones know that they need to have two sets of skill and knowledge. It is important that they master the topic they are teaching — or known as subject matter expertise — but they also need to know how to transfer the knowledge and information to the student — known as instructional expertise.

When trainers posses these two traits, the training will no doubt lead to these positive outcomes:

  • Employees have more confidence in performing their jobs

  • Employees learn faster and work more accurately

  • Employees get along better with colleagues

  • Employees work better as a team player

  • Employees will have better job satisfaction

  • Employees will have better chance of promotion compared to others in the same position

It does not matter whether the trainer is working one-on-one or standing in front of a crowd — what matters is that they have the responsibility to make sure the information being shared is accurate and using proper methods. One way to achieve that goal is to attend a Train the Trainer workshop, such as the one that Techstore provides, to ensure that the right message is shared with participants and to ensure that they are well-trained for the position.

Several things that you can expect from attending a Train the Trainer workshop include:

  • Understanding and tackling on some of the most common complaints from students

  • Understanding how body language can affect a presentation

  • Being able to practice the presentations with people who’d love to see you improve and succeed

Getting the Train the Trainer certification should not be your final goal, but it is a result. Your final goal should be to become the best trainer that you can possibly be. It takes more to become a great trainer than just stand up and start lecturing, but you also need to use your skills to try and meet their needs.
