The New Year is a great time to reassess where you are going with the many projects in your life. If one of those projects is indoor gardening, you might have wanted to put a new twist on the project and try hydroponic gardening. For those who are currently hydroponic gardeners, your growing needs may have changed since you first started. Chances are, you would like to expand your current system so that you can grow even more plants indoors. For all of these purposes, you will need a variety of hydroponic supplies, such as a new grow tent, indoor grow lights and plant nutrients. With these types of supplies, you can get your hydroponics system off to an excellent start for the New Year and a new growing season.
A Grow Tent For Your Indoor Garden
Many gardeners enjoy the convenience that comes with using a grow tent. A grow tent is simply a lightweight square box that consists of a fabric outer covering that zips closed and tent leg structures. On the inside of the grow tent, you will often find reflective material. This is so that when you set up your hydroponics system inside the grow tent, the light from your grow lights will be reflected and expanded as much as possible, to the benefit of your plants that require light for photosynthesis. This is a tidy system if you wish to garden with dirt, but is also perfectly suited to hydroponic growing applications as well.
Indoor Grow Lights For Superior Plant Growth
Your indoor grow lights could be HID, high intensity discharge, or LED, light emitting diode. If you want the easiest light to set up, then you may want to consider the LED-style of indoor grow lights. These are plug and go, very lightweight, but offering a full color spectrum of light suitable for growing anything from plant seedlings all the way up to mature plants that you wish to flower or fruit. For the most affordable option, you can choose from a variety of HID grow lights. These lights require a ballast, such as the Nextgen digital ballast, in order to function properly.
Plant Nutrients Are Available For All Different Plant Types
Nutrients are available in hundreds of different formulas, and you can select plant nutrients that will help you achieve certain goals with your plants. If you want to induce the plant to flower with large flowers or with many flowers, there is nutrient that will help. Those wanting to grow large and tasty vegetables will also find nutrient formulas suited to this purpose.
