When it comes to getting rid of scrap cars, it can be a costly business. The big problem often comes when you have an old car that you want to get rid of that is no longer running. If you find yourself in this position you often face a pretty big charge for someone to come out and collect your car and take it to the scrap yard. You won't be thanked for this, and you certainly won't get any money for your vehicle. Because of this, a lot of people end up with their old disused cars hanging around the edge of their property and it doesn't look good, and it is just a big job that is getting bigger, waiting to happen.
There is always the option of putting your hand in your pocket and trying to repair your old cars, and if you do this you might be able to sell the vehicle on, but it is always a risk. The second hand car market is a fickle place to be, and you could quite easily spend four or five hundred pounds repairing your car, only to find that it is only worth three hundred pounds to someone anyway!
You might feel that there aren't that many options available to you, but there are some superb companies out there who can help you in a situation like this. If you have a good look around online you should be able to find a site where you can call a company and they will arrange for your o0ld car to be collected. Nothing too different so far, but the difference here is that you won't have to pay! On top of that, you will be asked to have a look through a long long list of different charities so that you can select the one which you would like to donate to. What happens here is that the people who will collect your vehicle take it on to a recycling centre or to an auction house, and whatever they make on your car they will put towards the charitable fund that you have selected.
Obviously how you dispose of your vehicle is entirely up to you, but it is hard to think why anyone would want to do anything other than using the service which we have described above. It benefits you in a couple of ways but it is so great to be able to benefit a charity. It doesn't even take any effort on your behalf, just a quick phone call and everything is arranged, and all you have to do is be in your house when they come to collect your old vehicle!
www.giveacar.co.uk is a great company that allows you to scrap a car without having to pay a penny. They will recycle your vehicle and donate the proceeds to charity on your behalf. For all your car recycling needs, contact give a car.
