When it comes to scrapping cars it has always been an expensive business. Every now and again, the price of scrap metal may be reasonably high, you might be able to take your old car to the scrap yard without being charged, but there is very little chance that you would have been paid for doing as such. Obviously, if your vehicle is not on the road anymore, it is going to be an even bigger ask to get rid of it. You will find that most companies will charge an arm and a leg to do this for you, and it is easy to fall for this. On the face of it there seems to be very few options available to you if you need to scrap a car, but if you just have a little search about online you can find some great options which won't cost you a penny and you can even find companies who will give money to charity every time they collect a car!
This sounds too good to be true to some people, but this is a fact. The process of this is so simple too. You literally pick up the phone and call the company. Once they know where you are and what you have they then contact a registered car collecting company who will then get in touch with you to arrange a suitable time for them to collect your car. Once this has been arranged, they will come and tow your car away and take it either to a recycling centre or to a car auction if they think that there is any chance of selling the car. Whatever happens next, whatever is made in terms of money on the car will be fed back into the company, where they will donate the money of the vehicle to charity. Te site even goes on to say that they will donate to charity even if nothing is made from the car! You can choose whatever charity you want when you initially talk to the company. There is a list of all the charities that you can donate to on the websites, and it includes literally hundreds of options.
If you really need to scrap your car and you don't want to end up paying through the nose to do so then this is a great option available to you. You really should take advantage of this situation because you are not just helping yourself. You are also giving to someone else through the charity aspect of the service, and considering the whole process costs you nothing and takes no effort; you really owe it to yourself to do this for the people that it will benefit.
www.giveacar.co.uk is a great website which is dedicated to car recycling and car disposal through the correct channels whilst giving back to charitable causes. It’s a great way to do things and it's an easy way to do something great for charity.
