Check Disk is the latest in a growing number of fake computer optimization programs. It's brothers Ultra Defragger and Scan Disk are also recent to the scene, and this sneaky malware is getting stronger and more difficult to remove. You don't have to torch your PC to get rid of Check Disk, we can do it with relative ease.
How Do I Know I Have It?
If this is your first time with an infection such as this one, you should know that the pop-ups that are urging you to protect your computer are bogus. These pop-ups are hoping that you will hand over your credit card, and put you at risk of identity theft or straight-up money theft. The 'full version' is a fake. You can't fall for this trick. We have to remove Check Disk so that these warnings go away and we can operate our PC without the pop-ups and the increased risk of viruses.
How Do I Remove Check Disk?
To get rid of Check Disk, we can either conduct a manual removal or an automatic removal. To root out the problem manually, you will have to delete related values in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry folder, stop related processes, remove related DLL files, and delete related files and folders. A full listing can be found at my website below. However - a manual removal is only recommended for experts, because a single error can result in expensive technician fees or a PC that doesn't turn on anymore.
Automatic Removal is The Way To Go.
Because of the risks involved, I choose Automatic Removal. To delete Check Disk, it merely takes a few clicks and you're clean and protected. Even with years of experience, I still choose automatic removal tools because they clean the computer and get it working like new again, and even more importantly, protect the PC against the next onslaught of deadly viruses and threats. It's too good to pass up, you'll need a tool to uninstall Check Disk.
