There are some things that your teen will do to make their acne worse. See to it that you are near your teen to remind them that these are the things that they need to avoid because they will only make things worse. Clarify the trigger and impact of acne issues and be sure to answer questions that your teen has.
Do what you can to boost your teen's self-confidence
Self-confidence plunges when your teen is criticized and teased by their peers. The consequences to your teen can be bitter. Be there to build up their self-esteem. Give praises but do not use them just to flatter. Inform your teen about how wonderful his or her expertise is and do your best to elevate his/her morale.
You are their parent, and you need to help your teen feel good about themselves. The misjudgments of society towards people with acne can have a drastic effect on how your teen handles life. This is just a stage and it will end, but you as a parent need to be there and support your child.
