Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) get back together for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America's UFO heartland. Whilst there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them for an insane journey that alters their universe forever. Within the last 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out in a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-traveling smart ass decides to flee the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town-a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Gollings (Frost).

Chased by federal agents and also the fanatical father of the young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. So that as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes. Paul is directed by Superbad's Greg Mottola, from a story by Pegg & Frost. Joining the comedy's cast are Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Blythe Danner, Joe Lo Truglio, John Carroll Lynch, David Koechner and Sigourney Weaver.

Plenty of good reasons why I am looking forward to this film. The first is that I'm a huge fan of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. I remember when I saw my first episode of Spaced years a go when i shared an appartment with my buddies. I loved the way in which we're able to relate to the humour as it's target audience was us, being in our mid-twenties! It looked great as well, as Edgar Wright possesses a great directorial style.

When spaced finished I had been looking forward to what they would make next, as their TV series was very stylized and heavily influenced by Film and computer game references it was only natural the next thing would be a feature film, 'Shaun of the Dead'. Although I'm not really a massive zombie film fan I still enjoyed it immensely.

Next came 'Hot Fuzz' that was a lot of fun and as good as 'Shaun of the Dead' for me. A whole lot of action film references, great camera work, and jokes of course. Many might be convinced that 'Paul' is really the 3rd within the blood and ice cream trilogy as it is known. This isn't the situation as 'Paul' is directed by Greg Mottola, but comes from a story by Pegg and Frost.

So why am I so excited about 'Paul'? Well I'm a huge sci-fi fan meaning the film is a perfect combination for me; A Sci-fi film written by Pegg and Frost, it's funny as Spaced might have been a good name for the film!
