Ping pong is the game that caught my attention since a few years back, and do you want to know why I started with this terrific game when I was 4 years old? The main reason was my father buying a table for my older brother who was 6 at this point. It is really hard to remember and think back over 15 years, but right now I have developed awesome skills, and I definitely love the game. The name was originally very popular before the very famous British manufacture made the exact same definition which is table tennis very spectacular. Many other manufactures at this time already used the word table tennis, but one guy had to go the different path. The history surely goes deeper.
There have been many changes in thickness and of course also when it comes to the rackets. However, the ping pong paddles look pretty much the same like they did around 15 years back. The only difference there is, is in material, brand and also grip. The scoring system is up to 11 and also 21 points for each person, so what does this mean to you? If you score 11 before your opponent does, you win the first game. However, note that there has to be at least a 2 point different that you can win a match. Means that if you are playing and you and your opponent should have 10 points, you will have to play until one of you both accomplished a two point difference.
Thinking back to my old times, and also the fun that we had with the matches, I have to say that this game called ping pong definitely connected my entire family like never before. Was it mainly because of the fun or rather possibility to spend more quality time with my family? I guess both.
The fun and excitement of learning skills such as the shakehand grip, backhand spin, and many others never made me bored at any point. The importance of a game like table tennis where you always have to learn something makes this indoor and also outdoor sport stand out of the crowd. I also want to give you some additional tips and tricks along your journey to becoming a better player. Make sure to pay attention to how you hold your paddle and more importantly how you serve. A great tip is watch videos on Youtube which are entirely free and teach you the game right from the get go. Here you will learn how to hold your ping pong paddles professionally and acquire some remarkable skills.
