Overall Terran is a very versatile race to play; they have a lot of different tech, and lots units and structures as well. All of this makes them both really fun to play as well as hard to master. So here is a mini StarCraft 2 guide for the Terran players. I’m going to cover 4 fundamental tips that any Terran player should apply to their game.

  1. Understand Unit Composition

Because of the vast number of units that Terrans has, a good understand of each unit and their special abilities are extremely important. Terran has a good mixture of Mechanical units as well as Biological units, which makes them both powerful and weak at the same time.

That means that a good Terran play will not only need to understand all the units but they must also have a good understand of the unit composition. Knowing which units work well with another is the key to being a good player as all Terran strategies are based on unit compositions.

  1. Use Mule

One of the key fact to winning any StarCraft 2 game is being about to maximize your resources. And one of the special abilities that Terran has is that they can turn their regular Command Center into an Orbital Command that allows you to call the Mules.

Mules are pretty much like SCV on steroid. They are called down from the Orbital Command using 50 energy, and last for 90 second but retrieves minerals twice as quickly as an SCV. So keep an eye on your Orbital Command and call down a Mule whenever it is possible.

  1. Use Stimpack

Stimpack is a magical ability that allows Marines and Marauders to greatly increase their attack and movement speeds for a few second, but of course it also takes away 10 HP from their Life.

Although this is an extremely powerful ability for the Terran it should not be abused and used all the time. Many other guides out there might suggest that you should use your Stim whenever you can, but that is completely not true.

You should only use your Stim during critical moment like the beginning of a battle. There are times where other players might try to bait you into wasting your Stim, and those are the time you should restring from using your Stim.

Finally the best and final tip I’m going to give you is to keep on learning. The more you know especially in the number of different strategies the better off you will be. So check out this StarCraft 2 Guid.
