StarCraft 2 is an extremely competitive game, a game where it will not only take up a lot of your time and effort but also a lot of learning to really truly master. And for a new to StarCraft 2 all these information, tactics, and strategies can feel a little bit overwhelming and that is ok. Just take everything step by step and learn these 3 really simple and easy to follow tips that will help you reach the top.
#1 Become a Master of a Single Race
There are a total of 3 different races in StarCraft 2, and they are all pretty cool. But that doesn’t mean you have to actually play all 3 of them. In fact the best way to become a master of StarCraft 2 is to focus on playing a single race.
Now that doesn’t mean that you never ever play the other 2 race, in fact I highly recommend that in the beginning of your StarCraft 2 career you actually play all 3 races, and here is why.
First you need to play ever race and find out which race suits you’re playing style the most. And second it is a good idea to understand how the other 2 races play, so you can anticipate your opponent’s move before they actually make it.
#2 Get Use to the Hot Keys
In StarCraft 2 every single unit, building, and command is issued to a hotkey. And if you are a serious StarCraft 2 player then you should adopt to this extremely comprehensive and useful hotkey system.
The reason why the hotkey system is so important to become a master Starcraft 2 player is because it increases your APM dramatically. If you don’t know what APM is, it is an acronym that many pro StarCraft 2 players use that stands for Action per Minute. And the higher your APM the better you will be in a game.
#3 Understand Your Own Race
The idea of Understanding your own race might sound simple and it is, but many people simply don’t do it. So take some time to understand the race you choose to play. Get to know every unit of that race, the tech, unit compositions, and special abilities.
Get to know everything you can about that race, every little tactic and every little strategy you can find for the race. That’s how you become a master of StarCraft 2.
Lastly if you’re truly serious and committed to become a master StarCraft 2 player, go and check out this StarCraft 2 Guid.
