Pitbulls are the best breed of dogs. Everyone knows that and no one will ever deny that fact. The most important factor in owning a pitbull is the name. Many people feel intimidated by pit bulls and fear their claws and fangs. But the most important factor and the best element in dog ownership is the right name.
The shorter the name, the better for a puppy. No longer than one or two syllables. Numbers like one, two, three, four work the best for naming your pitbull. Also Hispanic names such as "calle" and "ocho" are also very acceptable.
It's important to avoid naming your dog any names that could be confused with, "Stay", "Down", "Fetch", "Come", and "Sit". Even though pitbull puppies are a very smart and long breed, their upper left side of the brain is significantly smaller than any other breed. Due to generations of inbreeding and fights the puppy tends to lack the ability to distinguish between common and basic words. For this reason a Hispanic or Latin name is the easiest for the dog to understand.
When training your pitbull you must be sure to pronounce the canine's name slow and loud, often repeating many, many times. The younger the puppies are, the smaller their ears are so they tend to have a harder time hearing.
If you're outside with your pooch going for a walk or just hanging out in the park you may have the need to call out to your him/her in public. Considering the embarrassment you are experiencing from just owning a pitbull, you may still need to call out the ridiculous name you have chosen for your animal. So it's crucial you don't name your dog "The Denominator", "Enumerator" or "Baby Muncher". Since it may cause some distress and unnecessary commotion among the spectators.
Overall the pitbull breed of dogs is great and choosing the right name is important, not just for yourself but for the dog as well. Make sure you enjoy saying the pup's name because the puppy is sensitive to that kind of thing.
Naming your dog is generally the same as naming any other dog, and the same basic rules are to be followed. Simple rules, basic and plain rules. Sometimes very general rules and nothing complicated, but still basic and very plain. Just like with other breed of dogs, pitbulls are very much the same with the exception of their height, color, eyes and other exceptions.
