Before we take a look at some of the most effective acne home remedies, I would like to take a short moment and explain what actually causes acne. In most cases, acne is caused when pores in the skin get blocked and when the sebum is prevented from moving to the surface of the skin. The blocked sebum favors the growth of bacteria and this is what causes acne.
Now, you also need to understand that there are various different forms of acne. Some of them are easy to treat, whereas others can be very difficult to treat.
The two main categories of acne are inflammatory acne and non-inflammatory acne. The most common forms of inflammatory acne are papules, pustules, nobules and cysts. Blackheads and whiteheads belong to the category of non-inflammatory acne.
But now, let's have a look at some really effective home remedies for acne:
- Make an egg face mask:
This is really easy to prepare. Simply take the white from 1 egg, mix it up slightly, put it on your face and let it dry. I recommend you leave it for about 20-30 minutes before washing your face. Ideally, you should do this treatment once or twice a day for about 5-6 weeks to get the best results.
- Fenugreek:
This one is even simpler than the last recipe, yet it is very powerful and it already helped thousands of people to cure their acne or at least to greatly improve their condition. Here is what you need to do: Get some fenugreek paste and put a little bit of it on your skin. Leave it for about 15 minutes and then wash it off. I also recommend your perform this treatment for about 5-6 weeks. But careful, some people may be allergic to fenugreek. So, if you have any allergic reaction stop the treatment immediately.
- And last but not least: A mixture of omega-3 oil and tea tree oil:
Take 100ml of olive oil, add a teaspoon of tee tree oil, a few omega-3 capsules and mix everything together. Before going to bed, put the mixture on your face and leave it overnight.
