During the learning process, there are many variables that go into whether or not a student will be successful during their time at school. One of these variables is actually how comfortable and useful the furniture of the classroom is for the students. Education furniture is often underestimated because no one really puts much thought into the furniture of a classroom. There are many decisions that need to be made when setting up a classroom, such as why type of tables, chairs, and desks to get for the students. Should a student use a folding desk or a desk and a chair? Where should the learning resources be stored? These are the kinds of questions architects of students classrooms need to ask themselves before making any rash decisions. The learning environment is of vital importance to the success of the students in the class, so everything needs to be thought out as perfectly as possible before any actions are taken place. Without a proper learning environment, it may be hard for the teacher to be effective and help teach the students about the topics of the day. Methods for teaching can be dictated by the furniture in a classroom, but really it should be the other way around.

A teacher should setup a classroom in a way that best fits their teaching style. This means that every classroom should be different from all the others because each teacher usually has something different they do that other teachers do not. The effects of the classroom on the teacher and student can be rather deep, so everything needs to be planned out according to how the teacher plans to reach their students. The classroom should be personified by the personality of a teacher. A creative art teacher may have paintings all over the walls and use tables with chairs instead of desks, while a math teacher would be better off with a very organised room of desks. A teacher will be using their classroom every day, so it makes sense that they should be the one designing it. Only a teacher will know the best way to reach their students, so they should be allowed to setup the various ways in which their students will be reached. One common thing about the most successful classrooms is that they tend to be more open and creative than the normal architecture of a classroom. An open and more comfortable classroom will lead to students who are more open and comfortable with themselves, each other, and the teacher. The teacher to student relationship is vital to the success of the kids in the class, so the setup of the room should encourage students to be able to easily participate in the activities of the class.

Sensory stimulation is a superb effect of a classroom that is put together very well. It is much easier to learn in an environment that is bright and appealing to the eyes because it creates a sense of happiness in the body. Students will not feel like learning in a dark and gloomy environment because they will not be feeling the excitement of an invigorating classroom. The learning atmosphere needs to depict the objective of the teacher. The objective should be to learn, but also have fun while learning. Games and activities are key to having students learn about certain topics, so the atmosphere of the classroom needs to be one that allows people to feel free to learn the way they want to learn.

As anyone can see after reading the bulk of this article, education furniture is much more important than one might think at first glance. How a teacher uses a folding desk or storage cabinets for learning resources is key to the whole learning process. The atmosphere of the room needs to be one of fun and learning, and only the teacher of the class will know how to create that environment. It is interesting to learn how the arrangement of educational furniture can affect how effectively the children in the room are able to learn. Trying different setups is not a bad idea because it will give the teacher different views on what works best and what setups seem to deter the students from wanting to learn.
