Why Should You Train Your Boxer

Boxers are one of the most loyal dog breeds out there. Boxers always strive to please their owner in any way that they can, but they need to be taught how to do it. You have to train your boxer puppy, because without proper boxer training they won't know what to do. Every dog owner wants their dog to obey them and follow every single command but they never do any boxer training or they aren't sure of how to properly train their boxer puppy.

It is a good idea to keep your boxer puppy well trained. You, as the owner of the boxer puppy, need to show leadership and what better can you do that than training your dog to perform tricks. It is also much easier to communicate with your boxer puppy if it's trained properly. If you want a new family member and not just a pet dog then communication is the key. Even after the proper boxer training, it is a good idea to follow up with the training every now and then to refresh your boxer puppy's knowledge.

Things to Know Before Training

Below there is a list basic obedience tricks and how to properly train their boxer to do them. Boxer puppies respond differently than other dogs. Therefore, boxer training is different than any other dog training. Often times, boxer puppies can get a little stubborn and distracted after they repeat the same trick a few times. This because they tend to ask "why" before they do anything, and if they feel like there is no need to do it then they might stop listening to you. This is why it's very important to make sure you have 100% of your boxer puppy's attention before you begin boxer training.

It is a good idea to begin your boxer training while your boxer is hungry. If you have a treat that you will be using while you're training your boxer puppy and your boxer puppy is full, then he won't put much effort into getting it since he just ate. However if your boxer is still waiting for food and the only thing that is around is the training treats, then he will do whatever you ask of him as long as he gets that treat.

Boxer puppies are curious creatures. While they are still young, they are learning everything and want to try everything for themselves and see everything up close. If you are training your boxer puppy and there are a lot of distractions, then it probably won't listen to you very well. While you do your boxer training try to find a quiet spot where no one will bother you and it will be just you and your boxer. This will eliminate any of the distractions that might interrupt boxer training.
