The Smeg SY4110BL takes the Smeg range cooker to the large appliance market. 110 cm wide and filled with versatile cooking configuration options, this is a range cooker that works for semi professional as well as larger domestic environments.

As you would expect from a Smeg cooker, the SY4110BL has an excellent energy rating: A for both main and secondary ovens and with an overall power consumption of a mere 0.79 kilowatt hours. With dual fuel capability, the cooker makes maximum use of the most efficient forms of energy for every part of its cooking: electric for the ovens, and gas for the hobs.

The overall capacity of the Smeg SY4110BL is pretty impressive: it has four cavities, with an overall usable oven capacity of 108 litres. The main oven on the Smeg range cooker rates with a capacity of 51 litres, while the second oven clocks in at 57 litres.

The main cavity, or main oven, in the Smeg has eight programmable functions and is capable of cooking in a variety of electric, fan assisted or combination settings. The second cavity operates as a normal static electric oven: the grill cavities are fully variable.

The Smeg SY4110BL has six gas hobs ranged on the top, which are augmented by the normal cast iron pan supports. In addition to the six hobs, the Smeg range cooker has a smaller food warming area, which can be maintained at a specified temperature to ensure that already cooked food (for example second servings at a dinner party) becomes neither too dry nor overcooked.

The cooker is capable of adapting to LPG for home owners that prefer to run a different energy configuration to the norm: users are advised to consult the fittings engineers, where they buy their Smeg SY4110BL, to ensure that the area they intend to site the cooker is big enough to support the LPG conversion kit.

The SY4110BL, like every Smeg range cooker, has been tested to last for a minimum of 15 years from the date of its first use. The model went through a rigorous two year design and testing period before it was released for general sale.

This is the ideal cooker for anyone looking for performance and style in a large size domestic or semi professional range cooker. With the trademark Smeg design (though this particular model is more severe looking than one might expect, from Smeg’s previous offerings) combining with all the functionality you would expect from something in this price range, the Smeg SY4110BL is both attractive and ergonomic.

The Smeg range cooker is a heavy hitter in the price stakes too. At an average price of £1,500 it isn’t cheap – but then when you buy a range cooker with this kind of build quality you wouldn’t want it to be. For what it is, and for what it costs, the SY4110BL is designed to be a market leader. If you have got the room and the use for a Smeg SY4110BL, it seems unlikely you would ever regret buying one.

The Smeg SY4110BL, supplied by Big Appliances is a top Smeg range cooker, which is built to be a market leader in its price range.
