The hankering for know the future, the anxiety of prediction and for knowing what will be expecting us after the reality have been always one of the common denominator of the culture’s history of every civilization and all over the world from country to country.Studying and analyzing various society is clearly that one of the common elements between the societies is the existence of astrological or zodiacal sign and so of an horoscope, star’ system those went to define particular characteristics connected to the birth period of everyone and which may give common characteristics of development of the character, behavior and personality. In any case the study of those particular things is maybe considered like a science in which experts are consulted every time people need an answer or want to know future. In many situations, in particular when we spoke about the traditional society, people which treated of zodiac or astrology were considered like gods, priest from which depended life of other people or king’s decisions.
The astrology, like we know today, came from ancient Greece how underline the etymology of the word which refer to "aster" the geek for star and "logos" which indicate speech, conversation and is perhaps a word that refer to all the practice, those were considered like arts because there are not scientific experiment those prove the real nature of those practice, which pursue the consequences of astrological implication in everyday life and, generally, all over every person’ life. In our zodiacal system we can see that are present 12 sing those referred to animal and mythological symbol. In other culture there are different signs but also different way to define the astrological characteristics of every sign.
Into the Maya’ culture there are, that was born in the central America, there were two calendars which referred to particular domain. The first was called Haab’s calendar and referred to civil life and the other was called Tzolkin’s calendar referred to the religious and ritual life. Those calendar were used contemporary in a way linked to the lunar one which was composed by 13 months and 28 days each of which was associated to a particular animal. It doesn’t existed a horoscope of the day like now but there was general life skills. The zodiac’s signs were: Falcon, Jaguar, Snake, Hare, Turtle, Bat, Scorpion, Deer, Owl, Peacock, Lizard and Monkey. The particularity of May’s zodiac was to make differences between men and women and to prophesy the end of the world in the year 2012, because they don’t see any future beyond.
Surely is better known the Chinese horoscope which was developed as a totally foreign to the logic of the annual cycle. Chinese astrology in fact provides for the succession of the various zodiac signs which are related to those year of the Chinese calendar which combines the future of the zodiac to a specified in relation to the lunar cycle. Each period has a duration of 60 years divided into 12 sectors of 354 days, which is a lunar year, and each of these areas is related to the elements Water, Wood, Metal, Fire and Earth those are in turn correlated with animal that are in orderly succession Rat, Ox, Tiger, Horse, Goat, Rooster, Hare, Dragon, Snake, Monkey, Dog and Boar.
