One of the considerations home buyers are looking at when purchasing a home is the home's proximity to outdoor activities, especially when there is winter in the area. Having a Morrison real estate offers a lot of springtime activities especially when you enjoy hiking and biking.

The town of Morrison is not suburbia at all and still has that mountain town feel to it. If you included Morrison homes for sale in your homes list, you and your family will never run out of mountain and outdoor activity options. This article lists some of the best places to hike in and near Morrison that accounts for the average rating and number of reviews for a trail, the number of people who have hiked or wish they could hike at that hiking trail.

Reconnect With Nature: The Bear Creek Trail. Kids spend most of their winter looking at nature through the window. Spring season is the first chance of the year for kids to get outdoors and really experience it firsthand. If you enjoy biking/hiking, Bear Creek Trail is a scenic trail that runs through the town and over to Bear Creek Lake Park. The downside of the area is that it can get really crowded in the summer with tourists and traffic. What do you expect in a very attractive place?

Take A Walk and Rock! The Red Rocks Park. We take a simple walk for granted until it's too cold outside to stroll around the block. Walking is not only good for all of you, it's also an adventure. You can get up in the morning, drive down to Morrison, and stand on the very same stage that The Beatles performed on over 40 years ago. It is where U2 recorded the infamous live version of "Sunday, Bloody Sunday". It is a place that artists around the world view as a mecca to the coexistence of music and nature. Awesome views, cool amphitheatre, great visitors center showcasing park history and concert venue memorabilia/timelines.

Plan A Picnic: The Mount Falcon Park. Looking for a birds-eye view of Denver? This is the spot. It is just a 15 minute ride outside of the city, definitely not a far drive. You can see the Red Rocks from the top. It is one of the busiest parks in the Morrison as you will see families with strollers, mountain bikers, hikers, joggers, lots of owners with dogs all on one trail within 5 minutes. The paths are really easy so you can definitely bring your parents or kids if you're looking for an easy route.

Ride A Bike: Matthews/Winters-Dakota Ridge Trail. The Matthews/Winters Trail is a great hiking/running trail with gorgeous views that are not to be missed. Hikers, runners and other mountain bikers are courteous and minding the trail maps to preserve the integrity of the trail. The trail might not be too wide and climbing the hill to get off of the trail every three minutes for a biker is quite frustrating but challenging. This might be much more pleasant if more of the trail was hiker-only.
