Weather and Climate. Overland Park has a humid continental climate with cold-dry winters and hot-and-humid summers. Spring and autumn are generally very mild, with occasional thunderstorms. January is the coldest month, with frequent sleet and ice-storms and a daily average high temperature of 38 °F (3 °C). July is generally the warmest month, with highs around 90 °F (32 °C) and higher, with high humidity and late evening thunderstorms.

Price Range of Overland Park Homes For Sale. The typical single-family home in the city ranges in price from $125,000 to $175,000, but home prices vary from $100,000 to well over $1 million for estate properties with real estate. Condominiums and townhouses start at just over $100,000. Homeownership is about 73.6%. Average home value is $211,991. Lots and land are also available for custom building.
