Great Website Copywriting
Every website has one main goal in mind. That goal is to attract people to the website and draw them in to view what the site has to offer. There are many ways to draw people to your website. Below is a list of options that will surely enhance your web site copywriting.
Headline
The headline is one of the most powerful selling tools your website has. You have to express the importance of your product and the value that you offer to the consumer. Words like why, how, who else, which, free and new will grab the viewers attention.
The Opening Hook
Once you get the consumers’ attention with the headline, you must then draw them in to further search. The headline lets them know what you offer but you need to add more to the content to keep their interest.
The Story
In order to entertain your viewer’s curiosity, you must maintain a continuous flow of information. Keeping the format of the page informative yet interesting will keep the reader involved.
Features and Benefits
Try to stay centered on, your product features and how they will benefit the consumer. The buyer is more interested in what the product will do for them. If you can convince the buyer that your product or service is a "must have" your message has been delivered.
Make your product or service unique
Once you have convinced the reader of your products value, you must then convince them to buy it from you. You have to captivate them with your reasoning for ordering from your website. You have to let the reader know why your offer is better than anyone else. In order to do this, you must use real examples with unique stories.
Establish Credibility
You obviously believe in your service or you would not be promoting it on your website. Be open to criticism and refute any negative feedback with actual statistics from those who have used your product or service. Testimonials are also a great way to engage the reader about your products worth.
Bullet Points
Bullet points are a great way to direct the reader’s attention to the highlights of your story. Use them as often as you like to ensure the person reads the critical areas of your letter.
Price and Bargain Appeal
Express the value of your product as well, as how it compares to competitors. If your product sells for less than the competitor’s products but outlasts their product, use this to your advantage. Let the person know that a lower price is in not a sign of lower quality.
Guarantee
Do not skimp on your guarantee. In today’s economy, we all want a guarantee that our investments are covered. You do not have to be extreme. By offering a no fault, no questions asked guarantee for a certain period is sufficient. By doing this, you will gain the buyers confidence faster and they will be more willing to try the product.
Try it for 30 days
By offering the use of your item for a certain amount of time, you are showing the prospective buyer that you are confident in what you are selling.
Price Discounts and Bonuses
There are strategic ways to encourage people to "buy now". By having a Qty. counter on your page, you show the consumer how many items are available at this time. You can also offer bonus buys or discounts during a certain period.
Nothing to Lose
By offering the consumer a money back guarantee if not fully satisfied and you back your product or service 100%, you will be ensuring them that they are not taking a risk.
P.S.
By using a P.S., you can discuss some of your selling points at the end of your letter. Did you know that P.S. gets read more often than the rest of the web copy? By adding the selling points in your P.S., you can get a person interested and they will read the rest of the copy.
