Paintball grenades can be very powerful weapons, as well as very effective tools for a person to use the next time they take to the field or the course to try to beat all of their friends in combat. They explode and throw paint in all directions, giving them the ability to take out multiple people at once, or to hit people who are trying to run for cover. However, paintballers need to have an idea of how to use these paintball grenades so that they do not make any mistakes. They have a great amount of power, and with it comes a great amount of danger. If people use them incorrectly, that danger could be directed at themselves instead of the other team.

The first thing that they need to remember is that they should never throw these too close to their own position. They always need to know where they are, and where all of their teammates are, so that they do not accidentally take out someone on their own team. They should never throw them in a state of panic, but only as a calculated decision. This will keep them from making a rash choice that can cause more damage than it will good.

One way that paintballers can keep from killing themselves, is to make sure that there are always things between them and their target. They should throw the grenade into a group of people who will all take the hit, or throw it over a wall or another obstacle. They should never throw it into the middle of an open field. Everyone will see it coming and run away. This will waste the grenade, and the thrower could even be hit by the flying paint.

The best way to use these paintball grenades is to ferret out an enemy soldier who is pinned down by other paintballs being shot from multiple directions. People who are in this situation will often hide in a corner so that they can be protected on two sides. They will then come up and take very precise shots at the other team whenever they feel a lull in the shooting. They can actually have a bit of success doing this if they are a very good shot, or if the other team gets careless. Serious paintballers should not give them the time to come back and win. If they have their teammates lay down covering fire with paintballs, they will be able to crawl up to the wall and toss the grenade over. If the other person stays, the grenade will get them. If they jump over the wall, the whole team can gun them down.
