When getting a Las Vegas facial, many patients are now choosing to go to an esthetician. A skilled esthetician provides facials and acne treatments as well as resurfacing of the skin. However, she does the procedure at a Las Vegas medical spa when a doctor is on-site, so the doctor can evaluate the patient and observe what she's doing during the facial.
Facials are helpful in rejuvenating your skin and improving the complexion. I do suggest, as a doctor, that even if a patient does microdermabrasion, that they also have a facial once a month. It helps get rid of white head and black heads, and it also improves the pores in their skin. There are different kinds of facials: there are glycolic acid facials and salicylic acid facials. Salicylic acid facials are very good for acne skin. Glycolic acid facials are for normal skin. An aesthetician can also provide a deluxe facial, and with the deluxe facial she can also offer you a little massage on your upper body in combination with the Las Vegas facial.
Make sure that the Las Vegas beauty products that you're receiving are actually genuine beauty products. Many beauty products in Las Vegas can be fake, or watered-down. Make the doctor show you the box it is coming from and open the box in front of you. It is very important that you don't get any beauty products that are not from the USA or that are expired.
Other mistakes I've seen are with Botox, which include - the wrinkles don't go away even after consuming an entire 50 units - this is most likely due to the Botox being watered down. It doesn't create a relaxation compared to the original product when it is watered-down. Most of the Botox we use is made by Allergan, and the dilutions are by Allergan's procedures.
It is very important that you go to a skilled practitioner to enable you to correct your wrinkles. So the next time you go to a Las Vegas medical spa, make sure that you get real beauty, not the generic one. For example: you want Botox made by Allergan or Dysport.
If you're suffering from acne and live in Las Vegas, this is a brief example of what a patient who wants laser acne treatment in Las Vegas would go through. First of all, we evaluate the patient and find out what kind of acne she has, (it could be a nodular acne, or a pustular acne) and see the extent of the acne. We can then do medical microdermabrasion where we remove the outer layer of the skin and make it less "blemishy" and smoother.
After the microdermabrasion, we do a laser acne. The laser acne is deeper into the skin, and it kills the bacteria and remodels the skin with collagen remodeling. If you are currently suffering from acne, as a doctor, I do advice that you should go to a qualified, board certified, skilled practitioner who knows about laser acne treatment as opposed to just using anti-biotics and topical gels - which don't actually help very much. They can help a little, but it's nothing compared to the combination of the medical microdermabrasion (which is done by a physician) and the laser acne treatment.
