As someone that is always willing to learn something new every day, Anthony Moya truly picked a college that met his educational needs. At Fort Lewis College, student success is at the center of all their endeavors and nobody justifies this saying better than Anthony Moya himself. As a widely successful businessman in New Mexico, Anthony Moya took all he learned from Fort Lewis College and applied it to his everyday life.
Located in Durango, Colorado Moya traveled far to attend the school of his dreams. After receiving a full scholarship, due to his exceptional basketball skills, Anthony Moya joined the Skyhawk Basketball Team. As it is, getting outdoors is a way of life at Fort Lewis College. With over 1,000 students living on campus, Moya enjoyed the full college experience. Plus, as a selective public liberal arts school, Moya gained respective resources for continuing on his education track.
The college’s mission is one that accurately lines up with Anthony Moya’s belief system. "Fort Lewis College offers accessible, high quality, baccalaureate liberal arts education to a diverse student population, preparing citizens for the common good in an increasingly complex world," as stated by the school’s website. If you know anything about Anthony Moya, you know he took the school’s mission statement to heart. He is constantly donating to his local community, via time, money and sponsorship. He believes in the continued education and success of local Santa Fe students and also encourages their active participation in athletics. In fact, Anthony and Omni Development, his company, was the platinum sponsor for St. Michael’s High School 150 year celebration, with a $25,000 donation. His donation allowed for the building of better facilities, uniforms, practice and safety gear and even the chance for the school to participate in future tournaments. It seems Anthony Moya took the school’s lessons literally.
With 102 majors, minors and certificates, Anthony received a well-rounded education from Fort Lewis College. It should also be noted that the college is specially credited in business administration. Plus, Fort Lewis College boasts high diversity levels, with students from 47 different states. 30 percent of freshman that enter Fort Lewis were in the top quarter of their high school class, and as Anthony Moya was an honor roll student this is only fitting.
Due to Moya’s exceptional basketball skills and academic achievements he was able to attend the prestigious Fort Lewis College. There, he gained the skill sets to develop his own business and the motivation to provide assistance to the community that raised him.
