City Seasons Group announces General Manager of new hotel in Muscat
Muscat March 2011 –City Seasons Group has announced Manu Madan as General Manager City Seasons Hotel Muscat to lead the opening of the new property.
Manu Madan brings 23 years of experience in the hospitality industry, all based primarily in the Middle East. Madan previously worked for City Seasons Group opening a City Seasons Hotel Dubai in 2009, returning in January 2011 as General Manager City Seasons Hotel Muscat.
"I am excited about the synergies of the new City Seasons Group and of course the opening of our first hotel in Oman" Madan said.
"The hotel opened in March with a very modern, contemporary feel to it and is the first of its kind in Muscat, offering an array of restaurant choices, health club facilities and superb meeting facilities, as well as significant amenities in the guest rooms," he says.
After moving to the Middle East in 1988, Indian born Madan, began his career in Dubai as Sales Executive for The Metropolitan Hotel, Habtoor Group. Over the next 15 years, Madan stayed with the same hotel, being promoted to Director of Sales after the first 10 years, then to Executive Assistant Manager – Sales and Marketing in 2002 and Group Director of Business Development in 2003. In 2004, Madan was given the opportunity to head up The Metropolitan Hotel, Dubai as General Manager, where he stayed for the next two years.
Other executive appointments followed as General Manager at the Metropolitan Palace Hotel, Dubai; General Manager at the City Seasons Hotel Dubai and General Manager at the Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa, Dubai.
Madan enjoys travelling and has visited many countries all over the world through his work including Hong Kong, South Africa, Europe, USA and the Middle East.
